Continuous Control Set Nonlinear Model Predictive Control of Reluctance Synchronous Machines

In this article, we describe the design and implementation of a current controller for reluctance synchronous machine (RSM) based on continuous control set nonlinear model predictive (NMPC). A computationally efficient gray box flux linkage map, Gaussian-linear-arctangent (GLA) model, is proposed employed in tracking formulation, which implemented using high-performance framework NMPC acados . The resulting validated simulation deployed xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">dSPACE real-time system connected to physical RSM. Experimental results are presented where can reach sampling times range typical electrical drives achieve large improvements terms performance with respect state-of-the-art classical strategies.
